Farm Fresh Eggs

Note:  The demand for our delicious farm-fresh eggs is greater than we can provide.  Therefore we are not accepting any new egg customers.  Congratulations to the folks who got on our egg list early!  If we add more hens and thus have more eggs available, we will post that opportunity here. Check back for availability.

We have a layer flock that provides us with lots of delicious and beautiful eggs.  I use them in baking, deviled eggs, French toast,  pies, pudding, poached eggs, scrambled eggs, hollandaise sauce, meat loaf - any recipe that calls for eggs.

Our eggs are fresh - no chemicals, no preservatives - just fresh air and lots of tender loving care for our layer flock.  The taste and nutrition is so much better than store-bought eggs.  And did you know that it is common for grocery store eggs to be a couple weeks old before they ever make it to the store shelves?  Our eggs are clearly marked with the date they were laid - and they are fresh for at least 4 - 6 weeks after that date.

Studies have shown that farm fresh eggs from hens that have the opportunity to free range have 1/3 less cholesterol, 1/4 less saturated fat, 2/3 MORE vitamin A, 2 times more omega-3 fatty acids, 3 times more vitamin E, 4 to 6 times more vitamin D and 7 times more beta carotene that most grocery store eggs.   Plus the yolks are a vibrant yellow-orange instead of that pale yellow.

Our eggs are colorful.  Each carton contains a mixture of egg shell colors - blue, green, white, brown, cream, chocolate.  Remember, though, that taste and nutrition are the same - regardless of the shell color.  We have a wide variety of breeds.  That's why we have such colorful eggs and a variety of sizes.

This is a basket of our own farm fresh eggs!

We package our eggs in clear cartons so that the beautiful colors show through.  We sell one dozen eggs for $5.00.  A 1/2-dozen carton is $3.00. And yes - they're definitely worth the price!
